Devon Condominium sought to revitalize its lobby to attract new tenants and provide a more sophisticated, contemporary experience for residents.
The existing materials and finishes felt outdated, necessitating a complete overhaul to align with modern design standards. Additionally, the rise of e-commerce has increased package deliveries, requiring an upgraded mail and package room with improved storage solutions. EDG was tasked with delivering this transformation while maintaining uninterrupted building operations—including mail services, doorman functions, and elevator access—all within a constrained budget.
APPROACH
Our team at EDG approached the renovation by developing a new spatial layout that maximizes openness and functionality within the 1,200-square-foot lobby.
We curated a refined material palette to brighten and modernize the space while ensuring durability. Integrating new HVAC equipment presented zoning challenges, requiring creative solutions to maintain airflow and comfort within budgetary limitations. By balancing aesthetics, efficiency, and practicality, we crafted a design strategy that enhances the overall experience without disrupting daily building operations.
