Elevating The Promenade to New Heights
OVERVIEW
The Promenade in Lenox Hill, a symbol of luxury living since 1986, has long offered residents breathtaking views and exceptional services.
Its amenity spaces, however, were due for a significant update after decades of use. The Promenade Board sought a complete renovation and reconfiguration of the rooftop spa, locker areas, and related facilities. Our challenge was to reimagine these functional areas to match the luxury standards of the building while maintaining a cohesive design language that respected the original postmodern architecture. Our team maintained a careful balance between preserving the historical essence of the Promenade and introducing contemporary elements to enhance the overall experience for the building’s residents.

APPROACH
Our design strategy began with a deep analysis and understanding of the building's postmodern roots.
We drew inspiration from the structure's original geometry and materiality, using these elements as a foundation for the renovation. A refined palette of luxurious materials, including exotic marbles, scalloped concrete, and sintered stone, was selected to create timeless and sophisticated spaces. Each area was thoughtfully reconfigured and redesigned, with particular attention to lighting and spatial flow, to ensure that the new amenities offer functionality and an immersive experience of warmth and calm.
IMPACT
The revitalized Promenade Spa and its associated amenities have set a new standard for luxury within the building, seamlessly blending the old with the new.
By thoughtfully integrating contemporary materials with the existing architectural language, we have created spaces that honor the tower’s history while providing a modern, serene environment for residents to enjoy. This project underscores our ability to execute comprehensive renovations that enhance both the aesthetic and functional aspects of high-end residential properties.
