OVERVIEW
Located at one of the world’s busiest private airports, the Flexjet Terminal at Teterboro Airport significantly enhances the luxury travel experience.
Ownership commissioned EDG to renovate and reconfigure this private terminal, a hub known for its elite clientele and historical significance as the oldest operating airport in the New York/New Jersey area. Flexjet desired a sophisticated, efficient space that reflects their luxury brand. The terminal also needed a new jet canopy to protect passengers from the weather, further establishing a unique identity for themselves.

APPROACH
We collaborated closely with Flexjet’s in-house team to realize their vision of a modern, elegant space catering to customers and staff.
We expanded and updated the guest lounge, including a revamped pantry, bar area, and state-of-the-art conference rooms to meet business needs. On the operational side, we reconfigured the rear areas to include a modernized administration office and new training rooms for corporate use. Our team engineered the custom jet canopy with a sleek, modern aesthetic–featuring a dramatic cantilevered wing supported by branching columns that combine structural integrity with visual appeal.

The space fosters a natural continuation of each patron’s trip from terminal to terminal, delivering the same excellence in care from pre-flight to takeoff and beyond. EDG elevated the terminal's signature spaces, and improved on back-of-house functionality, giving travelers a seamless experience from air to ground, and staff a highly efficient place of work.The iconic canopy offers a distinctive feature, reinforcing the brand with an unforgettable structure that’s unmissable from any approach.
