All Projects

OVERVIEW

The District Attorney’s Office required a modern crime lab to meet the stringent demands of forensic investigations while integrating seamlessly with existing operations.

They turned to EDG Architecture + Engineering for a comprehensive solution, from initial planning and design to cost estimation, filing, and construction administration. The project encompassed a 21,000-square-foot facility that would house state-of-the-art laboratory spaces and include essential support areas for the office and staff. This initiative was a critical step in enhancing the precision and efficiency of the city’s criminal justice system while creating a space future-proofed for ever-evolving technologies.

APPROACH

We collaborated closely with expert laboratory designers McClaren Wilson & Lawrie, Inc. (MWL) to tackle this complex project.

Drawing on our extensive experience in project management, we coordinated all aspects of the design process, ensuring smooth communication and efficient problem-solving. We managed the challenging filing procedures and provided start-to-finish support throughout the bidding and construction phases. Our proactive approach and ability to leverage MWL's specialized knowledge allowed us to deliver a facility that met all technical and operational goals.
